Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has any proposal to revamp the existing fertilizer distribution licences across the country to ensure adequate availability of fertilizers;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d)the details of the plan outlay, financial and legal constraints in this regard, if any?

(a) to (d): Madam, Fertilizer is sold across the country through various suppliers through their dealers & retailers network. Under clause 7 and 8 of the Fertilizer (Control) Order, 1985, it is required to obtain Authorisation letter from the notified authority for carrying on the business of selling of fertilizer and Department of Agriculture Cooperation & Farmers Welfare has informed that there is no proposal for amendment in these clauses under consideration of the Government.
