(a) & (b): India and Canada have signed a Treaty on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters. Under this Treaty, both countries have agreed to provide assistance to each other in obtaining evidence and statements of persons, make available records, furnishing and servicing of documents, restrain, forfeiture or confiscation of the proceeds of crime, search and seizure etc. required in connection with investigation/trial in any criminal matter including terrorist related crime.
