(a) whether Union Government has received a proposal, - Gujarat Urban Reform Project, from the Government of Gujarat;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the estimated cost of the project;
(c) whether participation of World Bank is envisaged in the project besides the Government of India; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the project is likely to be implemented?

(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) Govt. of Gujarat has submitted a proposal seeking assistance amounting to US$ 1 million under Project Preparation Facility from the World Bank to support
the implementation of Gujarat Urban Reforms Project.
(c) & (d) The proposal envisages assistance for Project preparation only. It would be premature to conclude what elements would be included, and whether
such components should be funded by External agencies.
