(a) whether there is any proposal pending with the Government regarding opening in a medical college at Loraput of Odisha under the Central University established recently;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps are being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c): There is no proposal pending with the Government for opening of a medical college under the Central University of Orissa. However, there was a proposal from the Central University of Orissa for setting up a Medical College in Koraput during the 11th Plan Period, which was not considered by the Government.
