Question : Domestic Demand of Tea

(a) whether the domestic demand of tea has substantially increased in the country;
(b) if so, the details of the domestic consumption of tea during each of the last three years and current year;
(c) whether the international demands of tea and its prices in the domestic and foreign markets have gone up due to increase in the domestic demand; and
(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. The estimated domestic demand of tea has been growing at the rate of Compounded Annual Growth Rate(CAGR) of 2.2% over the years. The details of the estimated domestic consumption of tea in India during each of the last three years is given in the following Table:
