(a) whether the Union Government has urged the State Governments to identify the new
locations for setting up of the new airports;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Union Government has also proposed some encouraging steps to acquire
lands for setting up new airports; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a), (b), (c) & (d) Looking into the capacity and infrastructural constraints, all
stakeholders including the State Governments are encouraged to identify locations for setting
up new airports and bring forward such proposals for the consideration of Union Government.
Issue of land acquisition is a State subject and State Government take necessary steps as
per respective State Laws.
