(a) whether tele communication facilities are available for people living in tribal and hilly regions of Dadra and Nagar Haveli;
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether arrangements have been made for setting up of towers in hilly regions;
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(e) the total number of telecom consumers in hilly regions during each of the last three years?

(a) to (d) Yes, as per data collected from the Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) and Department of Telecommunications (DoT) field units in 2019, all the inhabited villages of Dadra and Nagar Haveli are covered with mobile services. There are total number of 802 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) radiating and providing telecommunication services in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
(e) Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has stated that it does not have data specific to tribal & hilly regions of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. However, the total number of Wireless and Wireline subscribers in Dadra and Nagar Haveli during each of the last three years is as below:
