(a) the details of the schemes/projects approved by the Government for the development of slums in the country;
(b) whether the Government has received suggestions from the State Governments in this regard and if so, the details thereof during the last three years and the current year, State-wise; and
(c) the status of such proposals, proposal-wise along with the time by which the development of slums would be completed?

(a) to (c) : Ministry has approved projects from states under the various schemes for the development of slums in the country. Details of projects approved during the last three years and the current year, State-wise scheme wise are Annexed.
The Government has set the target of providing pucca houses to all by 2022 as announced in the President’s Address to Joint Session of both the Houses of Parliament on 9th June, 2014. To realise the objectives of “Housing for All”, Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has held consultations with various stakeholders including State Governments, industry associations etc. and has devised a new scheme for urban areas including slum dwellers. The scheme, at present, is at appraisal stage by Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC).
