(a) the number of mines auctioned under the new law providing for auctioning of mines and the details of the realisation in these auction along with the progress made so far in this regard; and
(b) the annual production of iron ore during each of the last three years?
(a) : So far 7 mineral blocks have been auctioned in the country. By the auction of these 7 blocks, the respective state governments would get estimated additional revenue of Rs. 13138 crores during the lease period of the mines. Letter of Intent (LoI) has been issued by the State Governments concerned in favour of preferred Bidder identified through Auction.
(b) The annual production of Iron Ore for last three years is given at Annexure.
