(a) whether the Government has any proposal to set up separate bank branches
for providing education loan on the lines of Industrial Banking Branches;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c): At present, member banks of Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) provide
education loans through their bank branches as per Model Educational Loan Scheme.
The Government has no proposal to set up separate bank branches for providing education loans.
