(a) whether the Government is contemplating to provide glass rooftop coaches in the country and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the names of routes and trains in the country on which such coaches are proposed to be provided; and
(c) the estimated amount of expenditure on the provision of glass rooftop coaches?

(a) to (c): Three special design coaches with features including roof with glass look out with controlled opalescence, are under manufacture at Integral Coach Factory, Chennai for operation in Araku Valley and Kashmir Valley for tourists / passengers. The cost of one coach is approximately E4 Crore.
