(a) whether the Government have any Information Technology training scheme or Development programme for rural and urban areas in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government have received proposals from State Government particularly from Kerala in this regard;
(d) if so, the details and the present status thereof;

(f) whether any NGOs are involved in these schemes; and

(a) and (b): The Ministry of Information Technology has a Employment Generation & Training Scheme (EGTS) for the North-East and also for SCs/STs and OBCs for other regions in the country. The overall objective of this Scheme is to harness the potential of Electronics and Information Technology in providing `Employment Oriented Training` for educated youth to fill up the shortage of trained personnel in the North East and other regions.
