Question : Setting up of ESI Hospitals and Medical Colleges

(a)whether the Government proposes to or has received any proposal from the State Governments to establish more ESI Hospitals and Medical Colleges in the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in this regard and if so, the details thereof;
(b)whether any places have been selected for this purpose, if so, the details thereof; and
(c)the quantum of funds earmarked and proposed to be released during the current financial year for the purpose?

(a): Madam, there is no fresh proposal for establishment of more Employees’ State Insurance Medical Colleges and associated hospitals in the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
(b) & (c): Question does not arise in view of answer at (a) above.
