(a) whether the scheduled commercial banks have suffered losses due to Non-
Performing Assets (NPAs) during each of the last three years and the current
financial year;
(b) if so, the details thereof, bank- wise;
(c) whether the Government has make good such losses during the said period;
(d) if so, the details thereof, bank-wise;
(e) if not, the reasons therefor ?

(a)&(b): No, Sir. As per data available with RBI for the last three years in respect
of the Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), though their Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs)
have shown an increasing trend, but their overall Profit After Tax has shown a positive
trend during this period.
