ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND
FAMILY WELFARE
(SHRI ASHWINI KUMAR CHOUBEY)
(a) & (b): Yes. The Implementation Framework of National Health Policy, 2017 seeks to merge General Nursing and Midwifery schools with B.Sc (Nursing) and have a Single Entry Level for Nursing qualification as B.Sc (Nursing) for nurses by phasing out the GNM course. This is one of the key initiatives of implementation framework of National Health Policy, 2017 to ensure the quality of nursing.
