(a) & (b): Central financial assistance/ subsidy is provided for the installation of small hydro power projects (upto 25 MW station capacity) in the state and private sectors. So far, central financial assistance/ subsidy has been provided for setting up of 3 new small hydro power projects during 2003-2004.
(c): In the last three years, i.e., 2000-01 to 2002-03, 48 new projects have been supported in the state sector and 33 in the private sector.
