Question : Financial Packages to J&K

(a) whether a financial package of Rs. 80,000 crore has been announced/ sanctioned for the State of Jammu & Kashmir by the Central Government;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government proposes to earmark amount of fund sanctioned separately to each of three regions of Jammu & Kashmir; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): Yes, madam. Prime Minister’s Development Package for J&K 2015 has been announced making an outlay of Rs.80,068 crore for development of the State. In the package, an amount of Rs.62,393 crore has been earmarked for new initiatives/projects, Rs.7,427 crore for ongoing/existing project of PMRP, 2004, Rs.7,263 crore for projects to be undertaken within existing budget line and Rs.2,985 crore for Roads and Highways projects under PPP.

(c) & (d): Region-wise allocation has not been made in the package. It includes projects for development of each of the three regions of the State.
