THE MINISTER OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRI JASWANT SINGH)
(a), (b) & (c): India signed the UN Convention against Torture on October 14, 1997. Necessary steps are being taken to ratify the Convention. Towards this end, steps are also envisaged to incorporate in the Indian laws appropriate provisions regarding the Convention.
