(a) whether it is a fact that India is ranked as number one in incidents of death due to taking of selfies;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether according to a study conducted in 2014, more than 76 people have lost their lives while taking selfies; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a) to (d): National Crime Records Bureau does not maintain such information. Ministry of Tourism has issued a letter dated 10.08.2016 to all State Governments/UT Administration with an advice to take measure to mark selfie danger zones in tourist spots.
