(a) to (b) The stretch of Valliyur to Tiruchendur (64 KMs) road in the state of Tamil Nadu is identified as ‘In-Principle’ National Highway (NHs) with a view to provide funds for preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for ascertaining the feasibility of upgradation this State road as National Highway. Declaration of such State roads as new National Highways will be taken up after finalization of the policy/guidelines which is under consideration by the Central Government depending on traffic, connectivity and technoeconomic feasibility based on outcome of DPR.
