(SHRI ANURAG SINGH THAKUR):

(a) to (e) The Oscar Film Awards are conferred by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, USA. The Academy has authorized Film Federation of India, a pan India film trade body for selecting one film as India’s sole entry for the consideration of Oscar Award in the “International Feature Film” category.

The Government of India does not have a role either in the selection of the committee or in the selection of film for ‘Oscars’, as it is done by a committee formed by Film Federation of India.
