Question : Setting up of PM Mitra Park

(a) the present status of the proposal for setting up of 7 Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel parks under Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA);

(b) whether the Government has also decided to complete the setting up of such parks within five years in the States including Tamilnadu and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has also identified the location for the same; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and follow up steps taken by the Government to achieve the completion of such parks within the time frame along with the amount of funds allocated by the Government till now?

(a) & (b): The Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites to develop world class infrastructure including plug and play facility with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 crore in a period of seven years i.e. up to 2027-28.

(c) & (d): So far 17 Preliminary Project Reports (PPRs) from State Governments for setting up PM MITRA Parks have been received. The details of which are as under:-

The PM MITRA Parks sites will be selected from the PPRs received from the State Governments through challenge matrix by Project Approval Committee. Milestones for making the PM MITRA parks operational have been laid down in the operational guidelines of the Scheme which will be duly monitored.
