Question : SHe-Box

(a) whether the Government has released the data of complaints registered on Sexual Harassment Electronic Box (SHe-Box) portal and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether Maharashtra has topped the chart in the number of registered cases of sexual harassment of women at work places on the said portal;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) the total number of complaints registered, resolved and pending at SHe-Box since its inception, State-wise; and
(e) the steps being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (e) : Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India has developed an online complaint management system titled Sexual Harassment electronic–Box (SHe-Box) to facilitate the registration of complaints related to sexual harassment of women at workplace. So far, 539 complaints have been registered through SHe-Box portal, out of which, 164 complaints have been disposed off. The highest number of complaints (85) were registered from the State of Maharashtra. The Ministry of Women and Child Development from time to time sends communications to the States/UTs advising for the speedy disposal of the complaints registered in SHe-Box. The State-wise total number of complaint registered, resolved and pending in SHe-Box since its inception is at Annexure-I.
