Question : Socio-Economic and Caste Census

(a) whether the Government has released the provisional findings of the
Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) recently;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether data on the break-up of caste in the country has not been released so far;

(d) if so, the reasons therefor; and

(e) the time by which the said data is likely to be released/made public?

(a) : Yes Madam; Ministry of Rural Development, the Nodal Ministry in Government of India for Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) matters, has recently released the provisional findings of the SECC.
(b) : The details of the provisional findings as obtained from Ministry of Rural Development is enclosed as Annex.
(c to e) : No Madam; the caste data enumerated in SECC have not been released as the same are not yet finalized.
