(a) whether the Government proposes to implement a dedicated third track in the 107 kms Ernakulam-Shornur corridor in the State of Kerala;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government in this regard;
(c) the details of the total cost of implementation and land acquisition in this regard;
(d) whether the Government has any plans to extend the same in future; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): The project of Shoranur-Ernakulam 3rd line (107 Km) has been included in Budget 2018-19 subject to requisite Government approvals. Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been taken up which includes land requirement and cost.
(d) and (e): At present, there is no proposal under consideration for extending this proposed 3rd line.
