Question : Licence to Run Kitchen

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has written to Central Licencing Authority in Chennai to inspect the kitchen at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Andhra Pradesh where Laddu is prepared and directed it to obtain a Central Licence to run kitchen;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the steps being taken to ensure that food safety licence like any other Food Business Operator for the said purpose is duly obtained?

(a) to (c): Yes. As required under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, matter was taken up with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Andhra Pradesh for obtaining license. TTD has subsequently obtained Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license. The details of license obtained by TTD are as follows :
1. M/s AEO Potu Sri TT Tirumala-10017044001209.
2. M/s Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams- 10017044001212.
