(a) to (c): Under the Central Sector Umbrella Scheme – PRADHAN MANTRI KISAN SAMPADA YOJANA - (PMKSY), the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing the schemes of (i) Mega Food Parks, (ii) Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure, (iii) Infrastructure for Agro-processing Clusters, (iv) Creation of Backward and Forward Linkages, (v) Creation / Expansion of Food Processing & Preservation Capacities and (vi) Operation Greens with components for, inter alia, storage and processing of all agri and allied produce including fruits and vegetables. Under these schemes, credit-linked financial assistance as capital subsidy in the form of grants-in-aid is provided to the eligible applicants such as farmers, entrepreneurs, organizations like Central and State PSUs/Joint Ventures/Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)/NGOs/Cooperatives/SHGs/ Public and Private Companies etc. to set up food processing projects in all the States and Union Territories including in the State of Uttarakhand against the Expression of Interest (EoI) issued by MoFPI from time to time.
The total number of projects supported for establishment of Mega Food Parks and food processing units in the country and in the State of Uttarakhand under the relevant schemes of PMKSY along with approved grant- in-aid are as follows:
