(a): As alternative feedstock for power generation, national gas, oil and nuclear energy could be indicated.
(b): State-wise and grade-wise raw coal production of Coal India Limited during 2013-14 is enclosed as Annexure.
(c):At present, 154 Coal Projects of CIL are under different stages of implementation. A contribution of 255.92 Mt. of coal was available from these projects during 2013-14. The likely contribution during the year 2016-17 could go up to 371 Mt of coal.
Further, 109 future projects have been identified forthe XII plan period. Contribution from these projects is expected to be about 62.71 Mt. during the year 2016-17.
