(a) whether the Government has any plan to provide food processing training to prospective entrepreneurs as well as processors;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to conduct food processing
training programmes for the benefit of farmers and entrepreneurs?

(a) to (c): Under the scheme of Human Resource Development,
the Ministry of Food Processing Industries provides
(i)
training to prospective entrepreneurs for setting up of food
processing units,
(ii) “hands-on†experience to rural
entrepreneurs by setting up of food processing and training
centres through Central/ State Govt. organizations,
educational and training institutions, industry organizations/
associations, Non Govt. organizations, co-operatives etc.
