Question : Online Application System for AYUSH Drugs

a) whether the Ministry of Ayush has launched the portal www.e-aushadhi.gov.in
b) if so, the details thereof;
c) whether the Ministry of Ayush has introduced online application system to make the procedure for grant of license to manufacture Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani (ASU) drugs swift, paperless and more transparent;
d) if so, the details thereof;
e) whether the offline system to apply for license to manufacture Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani (ASU) drugs will also exist along with online system, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
f) the other steps being taken by the Government in this regard?

a) to (f) e-AUSHADHI portal (www.e-aushadhi.gov.in) was launched by Ministry of AYUSH on 13.2.2019 for online application system for Licensing of AYUSH drugs. The portal is now open to all State Licensing Authorities and AYUSH drug manufacturers for registration into the portal. This initiative will bring in transparency and uniformity in the enforcement of regulatory provisions. Till date 34 licensing authorities, 152 Drug inspectors and 985 manufacturers have successfully registered themselves in the portal. Vide Gazette Notification, GSR No. 716E dated 1.10.2021, the e-AUSHADHI portal has been brought under the provisions of Drug Rules, 1945. As per the notified rules, for six months from the date of Gazette notification, both online and offline application process will co-exist before it turns completely online.
