Question : GDP Growth

(a) the details of the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of the country during the last one year on quarterly basis;

(b) whether the rate of GDP growth in the country has been on the rise and if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the growth rate of services, manufacturing, mining and agriculture sectors separately during the last three quarters?

(a) & (b): The details of growth of the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country at 2011-12 prices for each quarter with reference to the same quarter of the previous year in respect of the latest four quarters for which estimates have been released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), are as follows:

The quarterly GDP growth over the three quarters ending with April to June, 2017 has declined and there was rise in the growth in the quarter, July to September, 2017.

(c): The growth rates at sectoral level are estimated in terms of Gross Value Added (GVA) but not in terms of GDP. The sector-wise GVA growth rates during the last three quarters ending with July to September, 2017 are given below:
