Question : One Stop Centres

(a) the total number of One Stop Centres set up in the country during the last three years, State/UT-wise;
(b) the number of women benefitted from such centres;
(c) whether the Government is contemplating to launch a scheme to set up such centres in all the districts of the country and if so, the details thereof; and
(d) whether any mechanism has been formulated to resolve the complaints received from women at these centres?

(a): 462 One Stop Centres (OSCs) were set up in the country during the last three years. The State/UT-wise list is at Annexure-I.

(b): So far, 2,26,418 women have been benefitted in the country from such One Stop Centres.

(c): The Government of India has approved One Stop Centres scheme for setting up One Stop Centres for violence affected women in all the districts of the country. As on date, 728 OSCs have been approved to be set up in 724 districts and so far 506 OSCs are operational.

(d): To address the complaints of aggrieved women, the Scheme of One Stop Centre is to provide for a range of services for violence affected women including police facilitation, legal counselling, psycho-social counselling, medical aid and temporary shelter in an integrated manner under one roof. Under the scheme, OSCs are required to have a centre administrator, case workers, medical personnel, police facilitation officer, psycho-social counsellor, legal counsellor, security guard, IT staff and multi-purpose workers.
