(a) the aims and objectives of Garib Nawaz Employment Scheme;

(a): The Maulana Azad Education Foundation administers the scheme of Gharib Nawaz Employment Scheme for Minorities from the year 2017-18 with the objective to provide short term job oriented skill development courses to minorities’ youth in order to enable them for skill based employment. This scheme is implemented as per common norms issued by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSD&E) through the empanelled Program Implementation Agencies (PIAs). The Scheme targets especially the school dropouts amongst minority youths to gain sustainable employment opportunities through skill development courses.

(b): The job-oriented skill development course being offered under the Scheme are National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) complaint. NSQF lays down nationally recognised competency standard for all qualifications. The scheme adheres to the cost norms of different trades as laid down by the Common norms of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSD&E).
(c) and (d) : The Training Centres opened under Gharib Nawaz Employment Scheme is Telangana are Electronics Corporation Of India Limited, Vijay Nagar, Hyderabad; Electronics Corporation Of India Limited, Cherlapally, Hyderabad; Prism Educational Society, Ameerpet, Hyderabad; Society for EmploymentPromotion & Training (SETWIN), Purani Haveli, Hyderabad and Noble Education Empowerment Society, Himayath nagar, Hyderabad. Eligible students can avail the benefits of the scheme from any PIA empanelled under the scheme irrespective of the region.
The scheme ensures 70% placement, out of which 50% should be in organized sector. As per scheme guidelines, the implementing organizations will be required to establish linkages with placement services, and for the candidates interested in self employment after availing the training, the organization shall arrange easy micro finance/ loans for them through financial institutions, National Minority Development Finance Corporation (NMDFC), banks etc. The number of Trainees allocated state-wise under Gharib Nawaz Employment Scheme is at annexure.
