(a) whether Khijidia-Amreli-Veraval Railway section on Western Railway is still deprived of
modern railway facilities;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps taken / being taken by the Railways for the conversion of this section into
broad gauge?

(a) & (b) No, Sir. All Railway Stations on this section have already been provided with
adequate passenger amenities depending on the category of the stations. Further, improvement/
upgradation of passenger amenities at station is an on going process and is undertaken as and
when so warranted by increase in passenger traffic and other relative priorities.
(c) Gauge conversion of this section has not been sanctioned.
