(a) & (b): As per the Expenditure Budget (Volume I) 2007-08, the total Gross Budgetary Support (GBS) for Central Assistance to the States has been increased by 20.96 per cent from
Rs.38,961.48 crore in 2006-07(BE) to Rs.47,127.04 crore in 2007-08(BE).
(c): Does not arise.
