(a) Yes, Madam.
(b) NRDC had signed a Memorandum of Association (MoA) with Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) on 03.03.2015 for licensing of the technologies developed at the research council to entrepreneurs /companies for commercial exploitation. The benefits that are likely to accrue from the MoA are the following:
• The Ayurvedic formulations and products manufactured by the licensee companies are used by the common people for treatment/management of various diseases.
• The licensing of the technologies to companies is a source of revenue in terms of lump-sum fee and royalty, which is shared between NRDC and CCRAS.
(c) Yes, Madam.
(d) NRDC has licensed an Anti-Diabetic Ayurvedic formulation for management of Diabetes, viz. ‘AYUSH-82’, developed by CCRAS and assigned to NRDC in February, 2016 to five companies / firms in India till date. The details of these during the last three years and the current year, State-wise and company-wise are as follows:
