(a) & (b) Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in his address at the World Health Assembly 2008 had proposed that a âWorld No Alcohol Dayâ should be observed on 2nd October every year, iT being the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, one of the strongest proponents of alcohol abstinence and an apostle of non-violence.
