THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYURVEDA, YOGA & NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (SHRI SHRIPAD YESSO NAIK)
(a): For the current Year (2014-15), Rs. 1069 crore was allocated to the Department of AYUSH (now Ministry of AYUSH), out of which Rs. 287.90 crore has been utilised so far. The details of funds allocated and utilised for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), separately during the current year may please be seen at Annexure-A.
The status of State/UT-wise funds earmarked under National AYUSH Mission (NAM), which was notified on 29.9.2014, may please be seen at Annexure-B, against which no funds has been released till date.
Further, the State/UT wise funds approved for mainstreaming of AYUSH under National Health Mission during the current year may please be seen at Annexure-C.
(b): The proposal seeking grants under Quality Control Scheme of ASU&H drugs have been received from six States i.e. Odisha, Kerala, Meghalaya, Punjab, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh. The grants will be released after approval of Project Sanctioning Committee.
(c): The details of funds allocated and released to the Non-GovernmentalOrganisations (NGOs) during the current year may please be seen at Annexure-D.
(d): Setting up of AYUSH Directorate is within the purview of respective State/ UT Govt. No such proposal is under consideration in Govt. of India.
Further, there is no proposal for imparting training to Anganwadi workers for AYUSH treatment.
(e): Electro-homoeopathy is not a recognized system of medicine in the country at present. A proposal is under consideration of the Government for enactment of a legislation, which aims at providing mechanism for recognition of any new system of medicine. Once it is enacted, it will facilitate the consideration of any proposal (s) that may be received for recognition of any new system of medicine, including electro-homoeopathy system.
