(c) the time by which the budgetary provision and approval for the said lakes are likely to be granted?

Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) FOR ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE (SHRI ANIL MADHAV DAVE)

(a) to (c) Project proposals for conservation and management of 10 lakes in Rajasthan namely, Daylab Talab (Banswara), Gapsagar (Dungarpur), Rajasmand (Rajasmand), Kayalana Lake (Jodhpur), Gadisar (Jaisalmer), Jaitsagar (Bundi), Gondolav (Kishangarh), Sambhar Lake (Sambhar), Udaisagar (Udaipur) and Goverdhan Sagar (Udaipur) totalling to Rs. 423.23 crore were received from the State Government for financial assistance under the scheme of National Lake Conservation Plan (NLCP) / National Plan for Conservation of Aquatic Eco-systems (NPCA).

As the project proposals for 10 lakes in Rajasthan were not found in conformity with the scheme guidelines of NLCP/NPCA, they have been returned to the State Government for prioritisation and revisit in the light of admissibility criteria contained in the scheme guidelines.
