Question : Setting up of New Small Scale Industries

(a) whether the Government proposes to provide an economic package to set up new small scale industries to provide employment to the youth of the country through small and micro industries;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government proposes to provide financial assistance to set up small scale industries to the unemployed youth of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and promote Make in India; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is already running a scheme called Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) which is a credit-linked subsidy programme aimed at generating self-employment opportunities through establishment of new micro-enterprises in the non-farm sector. The Government provides financial assistance under PMEGP for setting up Small Scale industries all over India including Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
