(a) whether the Government is contemplating to set up airport in Ayodhya;
(b) if so, whether the land acquisition work for airport has started;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the time by which the construction work of airport in Ayodhya is likely to the completed?

(a) to (d): State Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airports Authority of India (AAI) for development of airport at Ayodhya. On the request of GoUP, a team from AAI visited Ayodhya in December, 2019 for pre-feasibility study for development of Ayodhya airport for the operation of 4C(A321) and 4E(B777) type of aircraft. AAI has prepared a draft Master Plan and has forwarded the same to GoUP on 5th March, 2020 for feasibility of additional land acquisition. Timeline for completion of construction work depends on various factors such as concurrence to the Master Plan, land acquisition, obtaining mandatory clearances etc. by the State Government.;
