Question : NEW IR SUB STATIONS



(a) whether the Government proposes to open new All India Radio Sub-Stations in the country including different district of West Bengal;

(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;

(c) if not, the reasons therefor;

(d) whether the Government has allocated any funds for the development of such sub-stations.

(e) if so, the details thereof; and

(f) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) Yes, Sir.

(b) The State-wise details are at Annexure.

(c) Does not arise.

(d) & (f) Yes, Sir. Government has allocated Rs. 163.90 crores for setting up of these stations, including Rs. 17.35 crores for West Bengal.
