(a) For identification of Adarsh Grams for development under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, a Gram Panchayat is the basic unit. The number of Gram Panchayats (GP) selected by various Members of Parliament (MPs) till 27th April, 2015 are at Annexure I. A Village Development Plan(VDP) is being prepared for every identified GP, based on the local context, potential and needs and with special focus on enabling every poor household to come out of poverty. The draft VDP will be presented to the Gram Sabha for discussion and clearance. The approval of the VDP will be done by the District level committee, after which the actual implementation of all activities envisaged therein will start.
(b) &(c) There are no provisions in the guidelines of SAGY to take punitive action. Any action against the District Magistrates or other delinquent officials, who show negligent attitude in implementing the yojana in villages selected under SAGY, can be only be taken by the competent authority under the Service/ disciplinary rules applicable to them.
