(a) whether the Ken-Betwa River Link Project has not been given environmental clearance so far;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Governments, have not been able to mutually agree
on many points of this project;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b) The Ministry of Environment & Forests has not accorded environment clearance to the Ken-Betwa
Link Project.
(c) to (e) Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Ken-Betwa Link Project was discussed between the Governments
of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Uttar Pradesh (UP) and it was decided that the DPR of the Project be prepared
in two phases.
