(a) whether Integrated Child Development Programme popularly known as “Anganwadi Programme†which started over a decade ago and being run under the aegis of UNDP is being affected due to official apathy;
(b) if so, facts thereof;
(c) whether officials are not inspecting the centres regularly; and
(d) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a),(b),(c)&(d) There is no such programme being run under
the aegis of UNDP. However, Centrally sponsored Integrated
Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme, launched in 1975,
is being implemented through State Governments. The reports
received from States do not indicate that the implementation
of this Scheme has been affected due to official apathy.
