Question : FACILITIES AT MATHURA RAILWAY STATION



(a) whether the Government is aware that facilities/amenities for the passengers at Mathura Railway Station are inadequate;

(b) whether the Government proposes to improve the facilities/amenities for the passengers at Mathura Railway Station;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the amount allocated for the purpose?

(a) to (d) Mathura junction is a `A` category station. All the minimum essential amenities as per norms are available at this station. Three works related to improvement to Passenger amentities have been taken up at Mathura viz.
(i) Extension of electrical charging facility to Platform No 6 for starting 13 coaches train at a cost of Rs. 29.35 lakh
(ii) Provision of coach guidance indicator at a cost of Rs. 21.50 lakh and
(iii) Provision of additional landing of Foot over bridge on Platform No. 2 /3 at a cost of Rs. 10.27 lakh.
