(a) whether the Government has issued efficiency parameters for civil aviation, railways, ports and inland waterways, power, road and natural gas for their effective performance;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has conducted any study on the performance of the said sector before issuing such parameters;
(d) if so, the details and findings thereof; and
(e) the further steps taken by the Government in this regard ?

(a) & (b): While monitoring the performance of different sub-sectors of the infrastructure sector against their annual physical targets for the annual plan 2014-15, it was decided to issue sub-sector wise efficiency parameters in consultation with the implementation ministry/ departments keeping in view their past performance, aimed at using existing resources more intensively, cutting inefficiencies, losses and accidents. The sub-sector wise details are annexed as Annexure.
(c), (d) & (e): No Madam, no specific study was conducted by the Government prior to issuing the efficiency parameters for civil aviation, railways, ports and inland waterways, power, road and natural gas.
