Question : TOURIST AREA DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

(a) whether the Tourist Area Development Scheme for the desert triangle with O.E.C.F., Japan has been pending with the Government due to financial implications involved therein;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the time by which the said scheme is likely to be granted approval?

(b): Does not arise.

(c): O.E.C.F. (Now Japan Bank for International Cooperation) is not taking up any new projects in India at present because the Japanese Government have frozen Yen loans for all new projects.
