Question : SCHEMES FOR POOR FAMILIES BY DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY



(a) the schemes introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry for the poor families living Below Poverty Line (BPL) in the country;

(b) the amount provided by the Government for training in dairying, animal husbandry etc., under each of the above schemes, State-wise; and

(c) the details of proposals related to the above schemes lying pending with the Union Government and the action being taken thereon, State-wise?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE (SHRI TASLIMUDDIN)

(a): The schemes implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries are mainly focused on strengthening the infrastructure of the State Governments for the development of animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries sectors. Most of these schemes are primarily oriented towards the weaker sections of the society. However, there is no specific scheme for the poor families living Below Poverty Line (BPL) in the country.
