Question : Healthcare Services

(a)whether the Government has introduced/is contemplating to introduce healthcare services also for pensioners and the unorganised sector through Employees’ State Insurance Corporation in the country, State-wise including Giridih of Jharkhand and if so, the details thereof;
(b)the number of labourers benefited/ likely to be benefited therefrom so far in the country, State/UT-wise including Jharkhand; and
(c)the total expenditure incurred thereon so far, State/UT-wise?

(a) & (b): No, Sir. However, the Government proposes to extend medical benefits to Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) 1995 pensioners drawing minimum pension upto Rs. 1,000/- per month under EPS, 1995 and residing in Delhi through a pilot scheme.
(c): Does not arise in view of the reply to parts (a) & (b) of the Question above.
